Of course, if he does like the sound of polished, boxed, supported products, 
SO6 is really very good. It finished off the few little niggles of OOo (such 
as the lack of GB spellchecker at install. Not too hard to fix in manually, 
but...) and despite reports, I find it faster than SO5.2 (probably thanks to 
the lack of the desktop thingy).
