RE: [Sheflug] Apache Config Problem with PHP?
What are your permissions on the public_html/dev dir?
as root, chmod 777 dev
just to test that it's not that.

Subject: [Sheflug] Apache Config Problem with PHP?
Hello, I've got some PHP software which is trying to write to my
public_html/dev directory and is failing due to some UID/GID write
failure.
I've had it working on works server straight from cvs install, so I'm
guessing the problem is with the way my SuSE8.0 system is set up, the
work
server is based on RedHat, don't ask me which version because I don't
know. I
have all the modules the works server has in their httpd.conf and a few
more
besides, and the suEXEC is working (according to
/var/log/httpd/error_log)
Does anyone know have any ideas about Apache Directives which are
neccesary
for PHP to be able to write (and create) files?
Are there any Apache gurus out there who could help me with this?
TIA
Richard Fletcher.
