It is unlikely. However, OOo does have some macro capabilities. It
is not VB, but it is a start. Other than that, the argument of if it
ain't broke, don't change would probably apply. At any rate, GTK+
stands for Gimp's ToolKit (if thehaven't changed that of late), and it
is just a GUI library (windows, push-buttons...) written in C with
loads of bindings to different languages, so not really what you want.
OTOH, Perl/python might be more the kind of thing you want (maybe
using GTK or QT for the GUI and some database in the back-end...).
Obviously, this is not something you can do in a couple of
afternoons...
