[Sheflug] Debian: "dummy" packages?
Hi all
Can any of you Debian wizards fill me in on creating dummy packages? I
want to install Sendmail 8.12.6, without first having installed *any* MTA
(let alone the sendmail 8.12.3 that comes in the Woody distribution...
it's linked with all *Hesiod* capability, for some reason). Can anyone
tell me how to make a fake package to fool the system into thinking that
a) it's got mail-transfer-agent, and b) it's not to be upgraded unless *I*
say?
Cheers
R
