Oh .. pphhh... permanent !  I go out and put the kettle on and come 
back and it says something like 'EOF .. permanent error'  .. etc..

Painful.  Tea's okay tho'.  Maybe I need to add something sensible to 
/etc/hosts in order to get it to work.  Or, rsyncd.conf ?
