D'oh. Should've been completed with:

although I don't know about other distro's. I would recommend gimpprint and 
CUPS, though. Knocks the pants of the Windows drivers I've used for quality 
of output, as you can get complete control of the printout, rather than the 
rather vague generalisations included with the settings dialog of the 
included driver.

Should learn not to hold down control when pressing enter for a newline.
