[Sheflug] redhat 8

Well, I installed Redhat 8 on my portable on Sunday and so far I'm
reasonably impressed (i.e. I don't regret it yet :)), The install went
well even to the extent that I can now load the DRI extension in X which
I could not before.

The "Bluecurve" interface is not bad, they've done a pretty good job of
making it look the same under kde and gnome to the extent that I now use
gnome as the default (this from a committed KDE user) and I have to say
gnome2 is pretty nice and quite nippy, fonts look really nice.

Main problem so far I have had is that I've now switch to using
evolution as my mail client (from Mozilla) and I can't get it to use
Galeon as its default web browser for HTML links - it keeps spawning
Mozilla, despite all other gnome apps spawning Galeon.

Evolution spell check works OK (someone had a problem with this at the
meeting with SUSE)

anyway may see some of you at the Linux expo.

cheers,

             Dave.
