We sometimes go out for dinner after the December meeting.  

But, we have generally found over the years that most people had gone 
home for Christmas.  Which is why we prefer to have a dinner in 
January or February.  More people turn up and the Christmas spending 
spree has finished leaving more money for food and a night out.
