[Sheflug] DNS & DHCP
We have a small LAN here using 192.168.1.0 and currently run BIND as a DNS
server and have static addresses. I'm thinking of also using DHCP (which we
currently don't) but I'm not sure as to how BIND and DHCP work together.
At the moment, everything is fine but as you would expect, if another
client is added to the network, an IP address has to be manually added and
configured on the new client and DNS server.
How could I go about implementing BIND and DHCP together? I'd like to be
able to use dynamic IP addressing but still be able to address each client
by its host name.
I'm sure this is pretty fundamental but the docs I've read so far haven't
made the way the two utilities cooperate abundantly clear.
You fellas explain things much better (usually ;-))
