[Sheflug] Upgarde to software RAID

Hi ppl Happy Xmas and New Year

I have a Linux System with the below disk setup

[root@netmain /root]# df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/hda5 2.6G 1.1G 1.4G 42% /
/dev/hda1 49M 4.5M 42M 10% /boot
[root@netmain /root]#
[root@netmain /root]# mount
/dev/hda5 on / type ext2 (rw)
none on /proc type proc (rw)
/dev/hda1 on /boot type ext2 (rw)
none on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,gid=5,mode=620)

I have a spare new disk that Iam going to install as /dev/hdc and want to
upgrade this to a mirror pair as I have lost funding to upgrade the server
so need a quick fix for resilience.

Anyone know of a simple way to do the above overtime ive tried on my PC at
home it seems to work but if you fsck the mdX device or mount at boot up it
fails complaining about the superblock.

I'm looking to have the following

/dev/md0 raid 1 for root
/dev/md1 raid 1 for boot
/dev/md3 raid 0 for swap

Any help appreciated

Regards
