Lemme guess, a card not supported by X (nVidia?)?
Most manufacturer's drivers appear to be a bit of an afterthought and
are just there so they can say they "support" *cough* Linux.
Open/Free and/or XFree drivers seem to do the job much better than any
mfr's drivers I've come across.
Saying that, I'm still perfectly happy with my Matrox G400.
Does the job, and I don't have these video card driver problems
plaguing the early adopters of newer cards :-)
