[Sheflug] make problem

Hi

I'm trying to run make when compiling an application but it fails with:

[root@nobby src]# make
gcc -DZOMBIE -DFREEBSD -DGETTIMEOFDAY -DREGEXEC -O    -c -o bb.o bb.c
make: gcc: Command not found
make: *** [bb.o] Error 127

It looks to me that gcc is not available for one reason or another.

However, I have glibc, libgcc and libstdc++ installed - or so doing apt-get
install on each of these tells me.

Perhaps it could be an issue with my PATH which looks like this:

PATH=$PATH:$HOME/bin

Any ideas, anybody?

Bill
