A missing mapping maybe? This is one of 4 boxes installed from the same set of 
CDs in the same way and is the only one which doesn't work properly.
I did some googling and found that net-pf-17 is an alias for af_packet.o.
I checked mine and one working system and af_packet.o was a smaller file on my 
system. I've now copied it across to my system  but still no luck. Maybe I 
need to perform some other magic.
