For me yes. It was a simple and relatively flawless upgrade on my
laptop and clean install on a desktop. I've now got all the stuff I use
still, but the latest Mandrake packaged versions. I had one problem
with it. The fonts were set all blurry and 'orrible (on both clean and
upgrade), but once I fiddled with them a bit it all looked nice again.
If you've got the CDs then I would say, firstly backup, and then why not
give it a go. If you haven't got the CDs (3 d/l ed.), then shoot me a
mail off-list and I will furnish you accordingly.
