It's not defined in the RFCs, so it's definitely server-specific. There
*should* have been some text after the number, though - the number's just
supposed to be the machine-parseable part. Is that one of those b0rken
systems (like Sexchange) that doesn't give you any _useful_ error
messages?
On a semi-related topic, I'm installing SpamAssassin for systemwide mail
filtering at work, on FreeBSD. Fun, and nerve-wracking. I don't like
messing with mail in transit, because it's too easy to lose stuff...
