[Sheflug] Digital camera viewers

Does anyone recommend a particular package for viewing and manipulating 
pictures from a digital camera?

I've had a look at pixieplus and that seems pretty good, but doesn't do 
red eye adjustment, which is a shame.

The background is that my wife and I bought a Fuji F410, very nice, but 
the Windows software it comes with is a dog's dinner. "A ha" says I, 
I'll try Linux. So I switched to Linux, plugged the camera in and voila, 
pixie looks better than the Fuji s/w, but no red eye facility. I was 
hoping to use this to help lever my wife away from Windows and maybe I 
still can, but that red eye thing, trivial though it seems, is a bit of 
a downer.
