[Sheflug] Scripting backups to cdrom.
I know this was covered a while ago, but I need to do something slightly
different!
I have a directory, in which are a large number of home directories.
What I want to do, is create a cdrom based archive of the home directories,
which must be directly readable in
by idiots using windows. So I can`t tar gz for example.
I need to add the files in alpabetical order, not splitting home dirs across
cd roms.
The problem is total file size is about 6-7Gb
I can see how to use cdrecord and mkiso to create the cd images from a dir
of the right size, what I can`t see is a way to
script dividing the home dir`s between runs to make the cd`s max 700Mb.
Can anyone give suggestions?
Thanks
Rob Keeling
