[Sheflug] Virus Checking

Hi All,

As the flames seem to have died down, I thought that I might ask a Linux
question.

I know viruses are not a 'clear and present danger' with Linux, but I would
like to know what is coming into may machine... and who knows what the future
might bring.

I am using Kmail on Suse 8.2, with the mail client talking directly to my ISP
- no send/fetchmail. I have Suse firewall2 setup and spamassin is also doing
its job, so the time has come to think about having my email checked for
viruses. Most of the mail gateway virus checkers for Linux seem to be
designed to work with a mail-server. I have a stable system working OK over
an ISDN connection, and don't want to over complicate things.

Anybody got any suggestions as to how I might check my incoming mail for
viruses within the setup outlined above?

As allways any advice will be greatfully received.
