[Sheflug] KDevelop

I'm quite new to Linux and I'm currently a C#.net developer and want to
get into developing apps for Linux. However, I'm having a little trouble
building apps (the make command) in KDevelop.  I keep getting this
error;

libtool: link: cannot find the library `/usr/lib/libfam.la'

I've tried downloading all sorts of RPM's (such as
libfam0-2.6.9-3mdk.x86_64.rpm) to try and install the missing library
but I'm at a loss.

I'm using Mandrake 9.1.  Can anyone help please?
