Just thought I would have my penny's worth. I have been running Suse 9 since
the LUG meeting on my laptop without a single glitch so far.... apart from
the Suse help centre hanging fire. KDE 3.1.4 smooth, fast and reliable. Much
better than running 3.1.4 on Suse 8.2. No problems with any of the
applications Gimp, OO, Korganiser, Kmail and so on.
Used it this week to run presentations at work faultless. I am actually using
the Laptop in preference to my desktop, which is still 8.2, because 9 is much
better.
I am not 'stretching' the software just using it as a normal user.... and I
can't wait to get it on my desktop. So it should suit Denis's wife down to
the ground.
