The beauty of Zope is that it's got a really fast learning curve.
You can get "slashdot" installed in an afternoon. If you're not versed
in PHP, MySQL and all that malarkey, it's far easier to get Zope
going. Yes, it's not as efficient, yes, it's not as popular, but it's
as easy to install, manage and extend as it gets.
Having said that, it's a couple of years since I last used Zope
