Re: [Sheflug] Clustering

Anybody looked into clustering?

It occurred to me that even when people are doing fairly normal office tasks
their PCs are under utilised. I found a knoppix distro called
ClusterKnoppix that seems to be a project where all PCs on a network work
cooperatively to acheive a goal of getting things done.

Hi Chris,

There's a book I remember vaguely from my last company that a couple of the Linux people thought was very useful. It was all based around:

http://www.beowulf.org/

There's another project which linked BSD and Linux servers together, I can't find a link to hand, but I know that was quite an interesting read at the time - one of many links I forgot to copy across when I upgraded computers!

Regards,

Jonathan
