That's not what they tell me :)  Trouble is, I've found from 
experience that some of them think one way and some another,  Back in 
the days of SuSE 5.2 and 6.xx there wasn't any confusion because SuSE 
was a much smaller organisation with a different outlook.
Since they started working with IBM and such like the marketing people 
seem to have come along and as a result no one knows what to say.

Another one is that it's a favourite scare tactic when RMS is about to 
give a public lecture somewhere that someone starts a rant about the 
GPL.  Seen this more times than I can remember.  SuSE were always in 
the front line for criticism about this anyway :)

As for violating the GPL ?  I wouldn't like to comment.  I found 
the the present round of SCO vs IBM and everyone else was silly 
enough without adding to it.  Perhaps one day we will see a well 
defined answer to this much mentioned aspect of SuSE software ?
