I've had good luck with a Radeon 9200 - ATi cards are better at being supported by Free Software. I would recommend not getting a card with binary-only drivers; but you may find the free software drivers aren't as good / don't work with the really fast 3D cards. Basically, I just play bzflag (used to play Quake a bit before upgrading to 2.6; now sound is a bit dodgy :(, so I'm not like some hardcore gamer.
Neither am I :) It's part of my in home "move from Windows campaign" :) Kids want to play - but even frozen bubble won't run with my intel810 :( And since I've completely wiped out windows last night - I need something to get little ones excitement about open source products :) Best regards, Denis. ___________________________________________________________________ Sheffield Linux User's Group - http://www.sheflug.co.uk/mailfaq.html GNU the choice of a complete generation.
