As well as the chat room we have now been able to build an IRC 
channel.  Took a while but we got there in the end.  Chat room is 
at...

http://www.sheflug.co.uk/sheflugchat/index.php

to get to the IRC channel go to...

irc.freenode.net

and then join the channel by doing..

/join #sheflug
