As in Net-, Open- and Free- ?

I'd be really suprised if this happened. Each project has completely
different goals, and in cases politics is going to make it rather awkward
(Theo De Raadt, top bod on OpenBSD originally worked on Net, but split
from Net to start Open after a number of disaggreements. I suspect there
may be other similar politics out there).

They could try and make them API compatible possibly - that'd mean the
ports could be used on each platform without there being three different
port trees, but that then means each kernel has to keep up with the other
two in terms of features (or each port needs compatability flags).

I can't see it happening.

The only page I've found that mentions a merge is here:
	http://www.freebsddiary.org/fretbsd.php

however note the context and also the date of the article.
