Not sure about Mandrake itself, but it depends what RAID controller
you're using. Quite a lot of SATA enabled motherboards have hardware
RAID controllers now, some of which are supported by the kernel, some of
which aren't. It's a question of checking if there's kernel support for
the particular RAID controller, in terms of accessing the hard drives,
and then compiling that. I assume it's easy enough to use your own
kernel with a Mandrake distro.
