I've got a KVM (Keyboard video and mouse) switch from Ebuyer. At £29
including the leads for a 4 way one (ie 4 PCs connected to one keyboard
mouse and monitor) its the cheapest I could find. There is vat and deliver
(£5) to add to that though but its still cheaper than going to Maplin
Electronics. Its also quite good, I've had not problems using it with
Windows and Linux. Beware the ones without cables as the cables can cost a
lot. You can either switch from the box itself or by using hot keys on the
keyboard.
There is no network lag like you get with VNC. But it does cost more than
VNC.
