If its a true Sun keyboard then it most probably has an 8 pin mini din
socket rather than a 6 pin PS/2 in which case it probably won't work using a
normal KVM switch as a) the sockets won't fit the plugs and b) the pin out
is different.
Sorry to be the bringer of bad news. However if your sun keyboard has a
standard PS2 connector you may be in luck.
If you think VNC might work you might want to look at tight vnc whicg I find
works better, its just a 'fork' of the original VNC project IINM.
