We had a talk on Moodle at the annual conference of the AFFS
(http://www.affs.org.uk/ ;). It looked pretty simple to set up.
There are a number of other projects you might be interested in, in this
area. First that springs to mind is Bodington, an Oxford system which is
aimed directly at Blackboard (more directly than Moodle, IIRC).
Also, AFFS are part-organising the FLOSSIE (Free/Libre and Open Source
Software In Education ;) conference early next year - there is an
announcement on UCOL, I will try to get something posted to our website
this evening. People might find that interesting too.
Cheers,
Alex.
