[Sheflug] Multi OS mail client

It would be nice to get some of my "project related mail" in a format that
can be read both on my Linux box and on my Win$ box.  I'd like to store the
mail files on my USB disk so I have access either from home or from work and
ideally the flash disk would also have executables for both Linux and
Windows mail clients on it too so I can read my existing mail or download
any new mal from whatever PC I'm on.

I did toy with putting a whole OS on the USB disk to get the same effect but
I'm not sure that's the way that would be best as it means rebooting each
time I need to use software not included in the USB OS.

Does anyone know of a mail client that will run under Windows and Linux and
allow access to previously downloaded mail from wither OS?
