Hello all,
anyone have any suggestions on where to pick up any import magazines with a
unix theme? Along the lines of linux journal, sysadmin magazine or any of the
IEEE publications? I know tower records in London stock some of them but I
don't want to have to go all the way to that dump when I could stay in
Yorkshire :)
I'd subscribe but it's a bit pricey...
Well, you should be able to order magazines of your choice from a good
newsagents. But I really can't advise on which newsagents to ask.
As far as the IEEE magazines are concerned, there are quite a few
categories. For browsing, it must be possible to use the University
libraries. If you are not a student or researcher there, I think there
might be copyright issues over photocopying anything of interest.
I don't think the IEEE publications are on public sale so you will
probably not be able to order those through a newsagent.
If you know the volumes of the articles you want, you might be able to
order copies of the paper from the IEEE but I am not sure on this. If
you know the authors of the paper and the establishments they work in
you might be able to write to them and ask for a copy of the paper.
