Not sure if you are bothered about hosting as well, but you might like to
look at www.oneandone.co.uk
I have my domain and email through them; cost is reasonable (though Ive had
my package for some time now, not sure of current prices), and performance
has always been satisfactory.
You get all the usual web interface stuff, authenticated pop3 access, email
forwarding/auto-reply and virus protection is included.
I've been quite happy with their service overall. And I think you still get
the rather handy software package too :)
