[Sheflug] Wireless and firewall setup
If I was to get broadband and wanted to set up a wireless access point to
allow wireless connected PCs access to the internet but not to the rest of
my network and for the wired network to access the internet but not the
wireless part (in IP cop terms this is probably 2 green zones) what would be
the best way to implement this?
I know IP cop has a DMZ option but I don't think this is it as there is less
protection in the DMZ. I want 2 (or more) networks and one broadband
connection. I suppose I could plug 2 (or more) IP cop machines into the
ADSL router and hang a network off the other side of that but is there a
more elegant solution that allows shared caching/filtering etc. Can an IP
cop machine have multiple green zones? I looked on the IP cop site but it
only covered multiple red zones (presumably to cover multiple connection
options)
