Re: [Sheflug] USB Memory Key

Well, slight progress here.

When I do cdrecord -scanbus, I see an entry for:

scsibus0:

0,0,0 0) 'LEXAR ' 'DIGITAL FILM' '/W1.' Removable disk

Running tail -f /var/log/messages is slightly more interesting.

I ran it initially, and then removed/added the memory key and saw:

USB disconnect on device 00:ld.0-1 address 2
new USB device 00:ld.0-1, assigned address 3
usb.agent: missing kernel or user mode driver usb-storage

'lsmod' shows usb-storage listed, but no 'used by' entry next to it.

The modules I cant see from http://www.unc.edu/~aperrin/tips/src/usbkey.html
are :

usbcore
usb-ohci/uhci
sd_mod

I'm beginning to get the feeling that a kernel recompile may be necessary
here....

Steve.
