Thought some of you might like to take a look at this report by the RAE and 
BCS on IT projects.

I have noted that it makes no reference to the open source model at all and 
many of the quotes seem to paraphrase Brooks' book 'The Mythical Man Month' 
(well worth a read), the latest edition of which predates much of what has 
been achieved in the free software / open source world.

Would appreciate any comments on this which I will endeavour to feed back 
through the IEE.
