Once again I failed to outline my problem completely. Apologies.
I don't have shell access to the host server and as I work from many PCs
buying an FTP client that will do recursive chmodding is not an option as it
would need to be installed on each PC. I suggestd php as I'm quite familiar
with it, probably more so than perl (which the host also supports) and I
need a page I can unpload, call up and activate, then remove again as
chmodding the 100 or so files I need to do in all the subdirectories I need
to do it in is becomming a pain on dial up.
