You might be able to get it repaired but I'd be tempted to get a new 
one.  17" is about £80 right now.  Not too much to pay.  Mines a 
Relisys.  Only problem with monitors is getting rid of them once you 
have them.  Recycling - due to legislation maybe - is a nightmare.
