I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to announce your meetings as
other local LUGs do. I don't attend meetings regularly, but have been to
one or two, I hope that doesn't mean that I cannot comment on this.
I have no idea what the problem is between the two LUGs, but it is sad
if they cannot learn to coexist. I didn't know about slugbug, and am
glad I have been informed about it. I plan to find out more about it. It
was my understanding that LUGs should have a similar attitude to the
larger open source movement - where forks and differences are embraced
on the whole.
I think if there is a problem between the two groups they can hopefully
discuss it in the open, and come to some kind of agreement to coexist. I
would hate to think the list is being censored due to some personal
differences - but I obviously do not know the full story...
