In that case time for me to unsubscribe.

Thanks to those who have answered questions, pointed out bits of man
pages I'd missed, and even Fred's top-posting which meant I finally
fixed evolution link targets on my machine.

But for the record I never came to any sheflug meetings because Richard
Ibbotson's attitude on top-posting was discouraging. 
In what way does someone who wrote an e-mail client automatically
override peoples preference, laziness, choice about top posting.

As a representative (if your not then it's perceived that way), I think
you should expect that any private mail you send rebuking members of
sheflug may be disclosed to other members- or does that spoil your fun.
