Just my 2p

Samsung do a nice priced colour laser with duplex for ~£200 that has linux
support (and usb and parallel) (I bought the network version) but haven't
got round to using it from Linux yet as its still in the office. However
colour reproduction isn't that good and half toning is really quite evident.
Its OK for business graphics but pictures can look a bit grainy.

Epson C900 is very good at colours, costs about the same (although without
duplex) BUT is AFAICT a win printer. I would have bought this one if it
worked with Linux but could find no evidence of it doing so and no one who
had one to test it with. Although they cast more to buy running costs are
lower than for inkjets and speed is generally higher and of course you get
the added benefit of it doubling up as a room heater on long print jobs.
