[Sheflug] DWL-122 wireless usb network adapter

Dear All,

Does anyone have any ideas about a getting a DWL-122 USB wireless network adapter to work. The adapter uses the Prism 2 .5 chipset I believe. I have followed Julian Coccia's article with SuSE 9.0, Debian 3.0 and Fedora Core 2 but to no avail. When I plug the adapter in I get the following error message:

hub.c: new USB device 00:07.2-2, assigned address 2
USB.c: USB device 2 (vend/prod 0x2001/0x3700) is not claimed by any active driver.

Is this problem something to do with hot plugging? I have copied the device information to /etc/hotplug/usb.usermap but it is still picking up nothing.

Please note that is a non-urgent enquiry as I have purchased a Linksys WET54G Wireless - G Ethernet Bridge which has solved the problem. However the fact I cannot get the DWL-122 to work is beginning to annoy me and I would love a solution. I am sure I am ignoring some vital part of the procedure and being totally stupid but if anyone can help I would be most grateful.

Many Thanks
