Don't assume that you're lost. For example, also with my upgrade to
kernel 2.6, my mouse wheel has stopped functioning. I also haven't
looked into this (it's the server and I usually work on one of the thin
clients). It may well be that all I need to do is recompiled the
hyperpen and mouse drivers against the Linux 2.6 headers (which can be
achieved by recompiling the whole of X on my 2.6 kernel system). Just
because it doesn't work on my system doesn't mean it's _definitely_
broken!
