[Sheflug] file download script
Big thanks to all those who patiently lent me disks on Saturday trying to
get my mail server up and running. I've decided I need a bios update on
that PC as a) its not reading my 80GB disk and b) it won't boot from the
K12LTSP disks kindly donated at the meeting (it will read them just not
boot!).
Anyway on with the post:
I want to download a number of CD images but I want to control the amount of
bandwidth they use in the download so as to minimise the impact on the
daytime use of the internet in our office. I also want to queue the
downloads so that as soon as one has finished the next starts. I'm thinking
of using wget as it seems to permit limiting the bandwidth. However
although I can use wget and a list of files for it to get I'd like to use
the full bandwidth between 6pm and 8am. Is there a simple way of doing
this?
