Re: [Sheflug] Glibc and gentoo

Just to let you all know, I have installed gentoo using ntlp and NOT

If you want to upgrade and change on your gentoo install do the following
change the use flags to include ntlp
then
emerge --newuse world
emerge -e world

Been using this for a while, it is much improved over the old situation
as it compiles an nptl and a linuxthreads library (for compatibility
with some broken apps). I have been using it for quite some time with no
problems.
There is no need to emerge -e world though, as all dynamically linked
programs will be able to take advantage of nptl once glibc has been
recompiled. It should be nptl in USE flags too, don't add nptlonly to
your USE flags unless you know what you are doing though.
