Re: [Sheflug] Laptop Screens

I have a Sony C1-XN laptop which I am trying to run linux on,
after much googleing I have now got the machine with a working X install
from a hard disc install of knoppix.
However, I can`t convince KDE to run with a 1024x480 screen res (the
laptop screen size)
I can`t change it using the GUI as it will not fit on the screen!
Where does KDE/KDM store the desktop size?
I have edited XF86Config-4 for the monitor definition etc, but can`t
find where to set the size of the virtual desktop.
Any ideas?
Thanks

I may be wrong, but wouldnt you add 'virtual x y' eg. 'virtual 1024 768'
to the screen section do this ?
Would be wise to backup your original config file first though.
Steve.
