Hello

Are there any optical mice/mouses/meeces (whatever) out there that are
(a) really good with any Linux distro
(b) to be avoided.

I have a Typhoon optical mouse which doesn't work properly with Mepis or Knoppix Live (distro about a year old).
Seems OK with Suse 9.2 live distro.

Does this piece of hardware have any problems?

Thanks everyone for your replies. It's been useful to know - especially the issue with USB keyboards!

I've erred on the safe side, avoided the prettyprint ones and basically updated my old traditional rollerball mouse for a very similar one but optical and black. It has a USB/PS2 option, (presumably this means a USB to PS2 adapter) is black and sold under Bill Gates's label.

I've no idea what it's dpi is but I'll find out when I get it.

Regards and thanks again

Lesley
