Not sure about this one but Kmail 1.7.1 does everything as far as I 
know.  It's improved a lot over the years and in the present day 
there is a small crowd of developers working on Kmail.

I prefer Pine and Mutt but both of them are an acquired taste and 
don't do what you want them to do at the click of a mouse.
