Mambo is a content management system rather than a blog. The most
popular
software is WordPress (www.wordpress.org) and I think its fantastic.
Or if you want a quick and effortless solution, you could always use a
blogging service such as blogger.com.

If you're wanting each user to have their own separate blog you'd have
to do a separate wordpress install for each though, you could have a
blog with multiple authors I guess - but they'd all have to share the
same links, template, categories and so on..If you really wanted you
could then glue all these individual blogs back together into one site
via Planet (http://www.planetplanet.org/)
Drupal is a CMS but it comes set up with multiple blogs out the box, you
can choose some options to make a Planet kind of thing on the front page
with individual blogs behind it..
I'd go with wordpress and Planet (if required) myself...
