Agree with these arguments, but I use emacs for all the same reasons + RMS
also signed my emacs book when he was here so I'm hardly going to say
otherwise :-) There are emacs 'modes' for php. Learn either of these - then
keep learning what it will do for you as you become more proficient - a new
command every day etc.
